What happens during the evening?

19:30 - 19:45

Doors Open and warm up dancing

There is a fully licensed bar so please grab a drink & table. Previous week’s lesson will be projected & instructors are on hand giving you the opportunity to practice 1 to 1 and learn hint’s and tips from our experienced dance crew (we recommend that Beginners attend this session for the 1st 3 weeks).

19:45 - 20:30

Main Beginners Lesson

All beginner moves will be taught and after approximately 6 lessons you should be ready to move up to the Intermediate class. If you wish to practice at home you will be able to view the lesson recap movie online (membership required to log in to secure members area).

21:00 - 21:30

Intermediate Lesson

This is the natural progression for beginners who wish to further develop their dance skills. The length of time to make this transition is around six weeks however our instructors will advise you on this.

21:00 - 21:30

Beginners Practice Session

During this time all dance crew will be available to answer any of your questions regarding the moves you have just learnt and provides the opportunity to dance with other beginners as well as our experienced dance crew .

21:30 - 23:00

Freestyle Dancing (Main Room)

The freestyle period is brilliant for practicing your newly learnt moves with other Beginners and instructors. Even our intermediates will want to help you. The more you practice the easier it becomes! We will have the lessons playing throughout this period on large projector screens and the instructors will be on hand to help you practice these + there’s a fully licensed bar! :0)

How much does it cost?

Regular nights
£8 Per person for the whole evening including all classes & both freestyle periods.
£5 For freestyle only ( 21:30 - 23:00 ) If your not doing any lessons but want to just come and dance then you can come in from 21:20 and start dancing in the main room as soon as the intermediate lesson has finished
£5 For the whole night if you are a student, unemployed or over the age of 60

£8 Per person
£7 Per person if you're a student, unemployed or over the age of 60

Workshops (these are great if you want to learn to dance in an afternoon
Or if you want to learn to dance in a smaller class size because your a little bit shy (or you want to get ahead of your mates if your coming as a group for the first time and you want to appear to be a natural ;0) don’t worry we won’t tell them!).

What should I wear?

Dance synergy is a dance class wear something comfortable, but as this is also a social night you may want to dress to impress. Shoes should be comfortable with a leather or suede sole. Stilettos are a little bit too high so they are not advisable. Men you’ll look daft in them, so leave them at home ;0)

What kind of music do you play?

We play contemporary music and a few old favourites, perfect for modern jive dancing.

Is there an age limit?

Yes, but at the low end. Because all of our venues have fully licensed bars we have set the lower age limit to 18. There is no upper age limit.

Can we bring our own drink in?

Yes you can. We will also provide ice, glasses and Soft drinks for sale at the Dance Synergy Bar.
